The technology giant is close to launching a pair of futuristic glasses that would deliver all the services of a smartphone straight to the wearer’s eye. Featuring a miniature display on one lens, the hi-tech specs allow users to surf the internet or deal with text messages and emails without lifting a finger.

The screen is controlled with a ‘mouse’ which is moved simply by tilting your head. And should you still wish to actually talk to someone, it is believed the glasses will let you make calls using an in-built microphone. Reports suggest the device, which would revolutionise the smartphone market, could be available by the end of this year costing less than £380 – making it cheaper than Apple’s iPhone.

Users would also be able to see through the lenses as normal and go about their daily business, then with a flick of the head activate the display and start surfing. The glasses would use the same Google operating system that powers Android smartphones and tablets and would connect to the internet through 3G or next-generation 4G mobile networks.

Porn Actors WILL Have to Wear Condoms

Porn stars will have to wear condoms while shooting films under new rules proposed for Los Angeles. The city council's measure means porn producers would have to provide and require the use of condoms on set in order to obtain permits to film in America's second-largest city.

The council voted 11-1 for the proposal earlier this week, but the plans still require a second vote next week for final approval. The AIDS Healthcare Foundation has been calling for mandatory condom use in adult films and urged council members to approve the 'ordinance'.

Foundation President Michael Weinstein said after the initial vote: 'This long struggle to move us to a place of making Los Angeles a safe place to make adult films has taken a huge leap forward today.' However, the Free Speech Coalition, the porn industry's trade association, issued a statement criticising the vote and the incursion of government into sex films.

Lindsay Lohan Totally Comfortable with Nudity

With an acting career in the doldrums since her release from jail, Lindsay Lohan's attempt to restore her image by posing for fashion campaigns have so far continued to underwhelm.

Determined to prove that she is still a sought after celebrity endorsement, Hollywood's most notorious young actress has appeared recently in ads for little-known brands Philipp Plein and Jag Jeans.

But now the 25-year-old has been given a much-needed boost by popular British fashion label French Connection, which has used a photograph of Miss Lohan in an ad for its new fragrance, FCUK Friction. The steamy shot, which sees the actress frolic in bed with model Petey Wright, was taken by Yu Tsai, the photographer behind her famous Playboy cover at the end of last year.

But the picture was not originally taken with the FCUK Friction fragrance campaign in mind. The label bought the rights to the black-and-white shot after it ran as part of a photo story in Muse magazine in 2010.

Google and Apple Race to Bring out Internet TV Sets

They have been locked in combat over mobile devices - and now Google and Apple are set to do battle in a technology war over 'smart' TVs.

LG Electronics just unveil its first internet-connected TV to run on the Android interface. Samsung is making its first set using Google software later this year, while Sony and Vizio have produced Android models already.

Apple look certain to bring in the iTV set this year. The company transformed the music and mobile phone markets, but it seems Google is trying to stay one step ahead of them with TVs.

Google said that chipmaker Marvell Technology Group and chip designer MediaTek were already on board as new partners in the venture. In a sluggish economy, TV manufacturers hope moving into the Internet TV market will help pick up business as consumer demand continues to slow.

Media student Jayne Vidheecharoen from the Art Center College of Design in California has designed a prototype TV that converts physical hands into virtual ones when users put them in the back of the box.

Google Streetview appears as a back drop courtesy of a green screen and digital objects can be manipulated and moved around at will. In Charlie And The Chocolate Factory we see spoiled Mike Teevee converted into a million pixels, miniaturised and beamed into a TV set.

Justin Bieber Surprises BFF with Mustang Convertible for Christmas

This is the season for giving, and Justin Bieber pulled out all the stops for a Christmas present for his childhood friend, Ryan Butler. "Justin got me a present. #swag!!!" Butler posted to his Twitter along with a pic of a brand-new ivory two-door Ford Mustang Convertible Sunday.

The teen popstar and his BFF grew up together in Stratford, Ontario. Butler makes a cameo in Bieber's 2009 music video for his hit, "One Time."

Despite his super-busy schedule, the 17-year-old "Under the Mistletoe" singer spent Christmas Day at home in Canada with his family -- sans girlfriend Selena Gomez. He posted a few photos of him and his two younger siblings (Jaxon, 2, and Jazmyn, 3) to his Twiter account.

Fresh reports suggest Lindsay Lohan's nude Playboy shoot is actually selling like hot cakes. Early indications indicated the January edition of the mag was not performing that well. But according to TMZ, the issue is selling out across the country - and vendors are ordering additional copies.

A source told the website that major cities including New York and Los Angeles - along with cities which don't usually order more copies - have asked for extra magazines to shift.

The insider added that there has been a large rise in subscription sales to the online service iPlayboy.com. When the magazine hit newstands on Friday, it was suggested the 25-year-old actress's Marilyn Monroe-inspired cover had failed to impress.

A Flat-screen TV That Can be Rolled up and Put in Your Pocket

The new technology which was developed by a team of British scientists is known as quantum dots and can be used to make ultra-thin televisions. It certainly is a step up from the super-thin OLED screen that was unveiled by Sony last year.

The quantum dot technology is light emitting particles which are 100,000 times smaller than the width of a human strand of hair will be printed onto flexible plastic that can be rolled up or even printed onto large sheets of paper to create giant screens.

The flexible screens are expected to take slightly longer and could be in the shops over the next three years. The company will not reveal exactly who they are working with but it is believed that Sony, Sharp, Samsung and LG are all working on quantum dot technology.

Atlanta man wins $1 million lottery for second time in three years

A man in Atlanta has hauled in a million-dollar lottery payday for the second time in just three years.

Delma Kinney, 50, recently won a $1 million dollar prize playing the instant game Super Millions. In 2008, Kinney also won $1 million playing another instant game.

Kinney is a single father of three, who set aside part of his original lottery winnings to establish a college education fund for his children. Kinney says he plans to donate part of his new winnings to charity.

Just a week shy of his 51st birthday, Kinney says he purchased the winning lottery ticket at a local Chevron Food Mart when he headed out to grab some over-the-counter medications to help him cope with a head cold.

Briptu Norman Kamaru (25), anggota Satuan Brimob Polda Gorontalo, bersiap-siap menjadi miliarder. PT Falcon Interactive mengontrak Norman Rp 1 miliar untuk satu album rekaman. Rencananya akan ada 5 album yang akan dibuat Norman.

Di luar itu, Norman juga akan memperoleh penghasilan lain, salah satunya dari film yang akan dibuat perusahaan yang sama. "Dia (Norman) mendapatkan kontrak kerja lebih dari Rp 1 miliar untuk satu album saja," kata Andre W Kusuma, kuasa hukum PT Falcon Interactive, dalam jumpa pers di kantor label rekaman tersebut di Jalan Durentiga, Mampang prapatan, Jakarta Selatan.

Jika penghasilannya ditambah dengan pendapatan dari film, jumlahnya akan bertambah menjadi Rp 2 miliar lebih. "Kalau ditambah dengan kontrak film, ya, bisa lebih dari Rp 2 miliar yang diterima Norman," kata Andre.

Adobe Brings Flash to iPhone and iPad without Asking Apple

The battle between Adobe, maker of the popular Flash video software used in more than 50 per cent of websites, and Apple, which refuses to allow it to work on many of its devices, is one of the bitterest in corporate history.

But Adobe has now created a 'cheat' that allows Flash video to play freely on Apple's devices - without Apple signing it off. But don't expect Flash to start working immediately on every website you visit - with some video-industry insiders describing the new solution as a 'fudge'.

The new solution works for publishers who want videos stored in Flash to be visible on popular Apple products such as iPhone, iPods and iPads. At present, Apple limits the web-browsing software in their handhelds so it is difficult for many users to see web video barring videos from YouTube.

Thomas, whose first name is pronounced Hih-LAHR-ee-ah (or something like that), smiled coyly while her famous boyfriend gushed that he felt like he'd known her "on a spiritual level for years." Baldwin said he wanted to "travel the world with" wait for it "my girlfriend."

China Bans Songs by Lady Gaga, Backstreet Boys

China has banned websites from featuring 100 songs by artists from Lady Gaga to the Backstreet Boys, a statement on the culture ministry’s website said.

The ministry said it aimed to regulate the “order” of the Internet music market, adding songs that “harm the security of state culture must be cleaned up and regulated under the law”.

The notice, issued on August 19 and posted on the ministry’s website, included American singer Lady Gaga’s “The Edge of Glory”, “Hair”, “Marry the Night” and “Bloody Mary”.
